When I read these words, the ones in this video, on one of Lucy’s Instagram posts, I was moved. And as I read them I could see this video playing in my mind. So I messaged Lucy and asked if I could make her words into a hand drawn video and to my surprise she said she would be honoured. If you don’t know who Lucy is you should look her up immediately, she is an Australia ultra running legend, she placed 10th at UTMB. I have so much deep respect for Lucy, she is one of my idols and a constant source of inspiration. She uses her platforms to remind us all that the point of being ‘out there’ on the trails, road, or whatever epic place our feet have led us, is simply to BE OUT THERE, enjoying every moment. Even if you suck at it, just keep showing up and finding the joy in it and the rest will follow. Thanks Lucy for inspiring so many of us to lace up and show up each day.
