I’ve always found so much inspiration in the sky. The colours, shapes, and the expansive space that reminds you how gloriously insignificant you really are. It is often the muse for my art and therefore seemed to be a great subject to use to take you inside my creative process from inspiration image to final artwork. I documented the full process in the below video.

But I didn’t stop at one picture. The sky has far more inspiration inside it than that. So here you can find a time-lapse video of 4 sky-inspired pictures being created in parallel.

All in the pursuit of asking the question, ‘what colours would you need on your palette to paint that sky?’
